| I finally decided between the 2 offers I received. Starting on February 4th, I will be working as an SLP at a nursing home in Malden! Only 6 miles from my apartment! And right near Mike's Roast Beef. The past few days have been the most exciting and stressful few days in a long time. I even made a chart with the 2 places and all the different benefits and perks. I tried my hand at negotiatons, and I think I did a good job. Managed to get a signing bonus and loan repayment. Stay in school, kids!

| 1. I can't believe I'm actually finished with school forever. Got my diploma from Emerson, its so much bigger than my UMass one (shocker there). I hate to get all pat myself on the back-ish, but I'm the first person from either side of my family to get a Masters. I'm really proud, but mostly I'm thrilled at how much it means to my parents. I guess all those weekends spent helping me build replicas of the Colosseum out of clay and water small shrubs with hydrochloric acid finally paid off for them. 2. I either need to hire an agent or take my resume off Monster.com. 13 calls within 24 hours! I've got 2 interviews next week! 3. Patriots game tomorrow! Anyone that wants to come over and watch with Jesse and I, feel free. The game starts at 8, maybe we could order some food beforehand? Comment if you're interested.

| | Anyone who wants to watch the game on Sunday at 4 is welcome to come over our place. Even Colts fans are invited, I'll have the tissues ready for you along with a Patriots bandwagon application. But seriously, we can order some food and enjoy what I think is going to be an awesome game. | comments: 4 comments or Leave a comment |
| So Erin and I have been tossing around the idea of a Halloween costume party. Would anyone actually dress up? Anyone have any ideas for themes? I was thinking dress as your favorite dead musician, but that seems really overdone and Amy Winehouse isn't dead yet, at least she wasn't when I checked 15 minutes ago. Suggestions and feedback would be appreciated!

| Jesus Christ, I'm 25 now.
Anyways, Who wants scorpion bowls and karaoke tomorrow night? We can go to Tiger Lily's near Northeastern at 7 for dinner and drinking, then head over to Do Rei Mi for some singing fun, then maybe some Survivor action on the DVR. I don't know how everyone wants to arrange rides, if we should meet at our place around 6:30 and organize from there or if we should meet there. Anyone who wants to come is more than welcome.

| While I really enjoy having people over and entertaining everyone here, I find it aggravating that it is automatically assumed that our place can be used as hang out/meet up/party place. While it may not seem like it, entertaining is a lot of work. We end up with dishes to wash, bottles to rinse, and trash to clean up. I'm in no way saying I don't love entertaining, I just want some control over the situation.
No one asked myself, Mike, or Jesse if it was ok for people to meet here on Sunday for softball. In fact, we had almost nothing to do with planning the game, Kristen is the one who planned it. Why aren't people meeting at her place?
I'm not sure who decided that our place would be the meeting spot on Sunday, but in the future, please just ask before you volunteer us. 99% of the time I will say yes.
So, since Kristen has decided to separate herself from this event that she's been planning for the past month and a half, can we just say we'll meet at the softball field on Granite St (the field on the rotary right near the B.U. Bridge and Memorial Dr.)? Unless other people can think of a better place to meet?
With all that having been said, would anyone else like to do dinner after the softball game? If we plan ahead, maybe we can make a reservation somewhere for the large group of people. | comments: 5 comments or Leave a comment |

| I just want to second Jeremy's statement that "Once" is a great movie. Its one of those movies where not a lot really happens, but never drags. The music is awesome, but this is coming from someone whose a fan of Damien Rice, which is basically the same formula: Irish guy plus girl with sweet voice sing over guitar and piano. The fact that the 2 leads are musicians primarily and wrote all of the music in the movie is just amazing. I didn't bring Jesse to see it, because it seemed way too girly and he mocks Damien Rice, but I might actually subject him to it at some point.
It has been way too hot these past few days. Chris, you are very lucky not to be here for this crap. I attempted to go running yesterday morning. I ran a mile and had to stop, I couldn't breathe the air. I don't think I've ever been so sweaty in my entire life, and I played basketball outside every summer for 4 years. I wish I had a pool.
Also, does anyone know of any job openings? And I mean ANY?! I'm feeling pretty desperate, I would do just about anything. | comments: 4 comments or Leave a comment |
